Since 2003, H2O Chelsea has developed innovative water monitoring and education programs that have had a profound impact on water management in the Municipality of Chelsea. Our lake, stream and well water protocols were created by researchers at the University of Ottawa to ensure that they provide standardized results that can be compared against federal and provincial guidelines. At the same time, we have put much effort into ensuring that our volunteer samplers find the sampling protocols easy to implement.
We invite your community (lake association, municipality, etc.) to make use of our proven monitoring program resources and to modify them as necessary in order to develop a water research program that suits your needs.
Above, you will find links to pages that describe each of our programs and provide access to key resources including: sampling protocols, datasheets, databases and instruction manuals.
We look forward to hearing from you in order to discuss your specific program requirements and how we can help you meet your goals.
Please note that our Water Resource Mapping Portal will soon be online (April 2007). This data management and mapping tool will play a key role in merging the efforts of water research groups across Canada.
