Lakes
Our lake sampling program collects information about a lake’s physical (temperature, dissolved oxygen etc.) and chemical (nitrogen, phosphorous etc.) properties. The program does not include protocols for monitoring the biological health of lakes (e.g. assessing fish and benthic invertebrate populations).
Please visit the About the Project page of this website for a summary of the Lake Program.
Lake Water Quality Monitoring Program Implementation Manual
Lake Sampling Protocols: The 'how to' document that details the lake sampling process.
Lake Depths and Analytes: Chart which demonstrates what samples are taken and at what depths.
Lake Data Sheet: The sheet our volunteers use to record information during their sampling outings.
Beaufort Sky and Wind Codes: Chart that provides codes for weather observations
Streams
Our stream sampling program collects information about a stream's physical (temperature, depth etc.) and chemical (nitrogen, phosphorous etc.) properties. The program does not include protocols for monitoring the biological health of streams (e.g. assessing fish and benthic invertebrate populations).
Please visit the About the Project page of this website for a summary of the Stream Program.

Well Water
Residents of the Municipality of Chelsea can have their well water analyzed for a wide host of parameters through the H2O Chelsea project. The prices are group rates and are further subsidized through project funding. Households that participate in the program agree to share their results with the project, while the project agrees to keep all results confidential (i.e. researchers will generate statistics and maps of the sampling results but these will not permit viewers to confirm the results of a specific address). Please visit the Well Water Testing page of this website for a summary of how the program operates.
