H20 Chelsea Water Research Program - Our Goal: "To develop a better understanding of ground and surface water resources in Chelsea that will inform municipal planning and management descisions."

Want to Volunteer?

The H2O Chelsea project is volunteer driven and relies on the work of over one hundred volunteers. Our volunteers get a 'hands on' education in water resource research, monitoring and education and community development. Because of the commitment shown by our hard working team, the project continues to be a great success. A big thanks to everyone!

Interested in volunteering? We would love to have you join our team! We are always looking for people interested in lake and stream sampling, data input, public education initiatives, web form design and a wide variety of spontaneous tasks.

H2O Chelsea is currently looking for volunteers for the following positions:

  • Lake Sampling (Beamish, Kingsmere and Meech lakes)
  • Translation (English to French, for H2O Chelsea communications such as our website, announcements of upcoming events and pamphlets)
  • Graphic Design (To develop an H2O Chelsea display for public events)
  • Data Input (Ongoing data input from our various sampling programs. This can be done from home utilizing our webforms)

Please contact us so that we can discuss what type of volunteer position would suit you best. We look forward to hearing from you!
